Editorial Policy
The Journal of Basic and Social Pharmacy Research (JBSPR) is a quarterly peer-reviewed online publication of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Biopharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Lagos. The Journal has complete editorial freedom in terms of content.
The Journal of Basic and Social Pharmacy Research was born out of the yearnings of the teeming members of the Department to have a peer-reviewed outlet for their work. The journal has a broad scope within the pharmaceutical, life sciences, medical and related disciplines arena and is designed to disseminate information from these diverse fields of research into an ever-growing body of knowledge in the pharmaceutical and medical sectors within and outside Nigeria.
Journal of Basic and Social Pharmacy Research considers all manuscripts on the strict condition that they have not been previously published, nor are they submitted for consideration for publication or in press elsewhere.
SCOPE OF THE JOURNAL
Journal of Basic and Social Pharmacy Research is a peer reviewed journal that publishes papers related to public health pharmacy, pharmacy administration, social pharmacy, medicine information science, pharmaco-economics, pharmacotherapy, clinical pharmacy, pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical technology, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmaceutical microbiology, pharmacognosy, natural medicines, medicinal chemistry and analysis, clinical pharmacology, pharmaco-epidemiology, industrial pharmacy, medicines use in health care, life sciences and other related disciplines.

I am indeed very excited for the realization of this dream. It has long since been the desire of the department to launch out into this field thus providing a means for colleagues and health care professionals from far and near to publish the findings of their research in a truly global but locally motivated, high quality journal which will continually strive to improve its performance by comparing itself and its services against exceptional international standard. I can assure you that JBSPR will continue to evolve from this point forward bringing in the best hands to serve as reviewers, finding suitable ways to motivate these reviewers and ensuring that articles published are to the very best standard in the shortest possible time.
As part of our evolution, we are setting up a truly high-quality editorial team to be made up of advisers and consultants nationally and internationally. A team of people that will serve as strong support system for the editorial board and who can be counted on to insist on good quality in every aspect of the life of this Journal.
