The Journal of Basic and Social Pharmacy Research (JBSPR) is a quarterly peer-reviewed online publication of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Biopharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Lagos. The Journal has complete editorial freedom in terms of content.
The Journal of Basic and Social Pharmacy Research (JBSPR) was born out of the yearnings of the teeming members of the Department to have a peer-reviewed outlet for their work. The journal has a broad scope within the pharmaceutical, life sciences, medical and related disciplines arena and is designed to disseminate information from these diverse fields of research into an ever-growing body of knowledge in the pharmaceutical and medical sectors within and outside Nigeria.

FUNDING
JBSPR will seek support for its production and online presence via Advertisements, however ethical considerations are in place to ensure the integrity of the journal and its content:

  • Advertisers will never be shown any manuscripts or other content prior to publication.
  • “Pop-up” and “banner” ads will be used as appropriate and will appear on a random, rotating basis. The advertiser has no control or input over the pages where their ads appear.
  • The Editorial Board has full and final approval over the content of all Advertisements.

JBSPR charges Publication Fees for accepted articles (see Information to Authors). Ability of the author(s) to pay does not influence editorial decision making.

SCOPE OF THE JOURNAL
Journal of Basic and Social Pharmacy Research is a peer reviewed journal that publishes papers related to public health pharmacy, pharmacy administration, social pharmacy, medicine information science, pharmaco-economics, pharmacotherapy, clinical pharmacy, pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical technology, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmaceutical microbiology, pharmacognosy, natural medicines, medicinal chemistry and analysis, clinical pharmacology, pharmaco-epidemiology, industrial pharmacy, medicines use in health care, life sciences and other related disciplines.
